You're not a glorious conquering leader like in other games such as Age of Empires you're just one person trying to keep as many people as possible alive, which means delicately considering what to do and what things to build to keep your group as stocked as possible. This sums up our opening hour with 11 bit Studios' Frostpunk nicely, because this is a survival game that doesn't hold your hand.
